RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Guest - 02-13-2017 It should be interesting to hear PUEO's position or case in this Contested case hearing Today because I have been confused to who this group is and what they stand for. Would This PUEO group stand to profit or make millions if the TMT is indeed built on Mauna Kea? How? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7a9nlABAP4 http://www.hamakuasprings.com/2016/08/pueo-tmt-offers-educational-opportunities/ http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2016/08/09/video-lau-ola-cannabis-dispensary-breaks-ground/ Is The Pueo group also playing a part of the MMJ business or dispensary at The old Banana farm Of Mr Ha's? link above. Seems to be Many of the same faces and names involved. jmo Is the Pueo group the same native hawaiian group that was trying to buy helco, heco or build another Geothermal power plant in Poihiki a few years back? Maybe different name this year? https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/I-Almost-Bought-Hawaiis-Electric-Utility-For-6B-and-Made-It-a-Renewables http://hawaiitribune-herald.com/news/local-news/oha-goes-silent-geothermal-investment Is the Pueo group really interested in Keiki Educational opportunities or simply circling the wagons for the BLNR-DLNR's many mistakes? This past article may be worth re-reading on this Tuesday morning. http://www.civilbeat.org/2016/10/the-stage-is-set-for-tuesdays-thirty-meter-telescope-hearing/ RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 02-14-2017 Would This PUEO group stand to profit or make millions if the TMT is indeed built ... Is The Pueo group also playing a part of the MMJ business or dispensary gypsy, when you were a child did you ever fill in a connect the dots coloring book? If you did, then you may remember that the general idea was to draw a line between the dots correctly so a recognizable picture would appear, like a lion or a truck, but not a mishmash of random lines. Any two dots or any group of dots can be connected but not all of them create a picture or draw an appropriate or relevant conclusion. For example: gypsy>>> lights, electrically powers devices, etc>>> HELCO Bill>>> HELCO>>> PGV From connecting these dots it would appear that gypsy runs his home with electricity from the geothermal plant, and therefore must be in favor of it's continued electrical production. Correct? No child will ever again doubt they could grow up and someday become president of the United States RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - kalakoa - 02-14-2017 Is The Pueo group also playing a part of the MMJ business or dispensary As written, the rules governing MMJ production facilities create a huge windfall for HELCO, and some of that power comes from PGV, so obviously MMJ = ROD. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Chas - 02-14-2017 quote: Do a google search for "civil disobedience + economic terrorism". There are plenty of articles from many sources about this. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Guest - 02-14-2017 Very funny HOTPE, In my creators eyes I am still just a child trying to connect the dots. Mahalo Kalakoa for the reminder. In my neck of the woods Folks like Mr Ha and Wally Ishibashi took the side of increased Geothermal productions and preached high oil prices to scare and pit some. They did not listen, barely heard, what many of my community neighbors were saying or needing at the time. My community needed and asked for more geothermal oversight, health studies and data, safety measures and possible evacuation routs before they increased or expanded. The Geothermal power plant has been a nightmare for some since, like on the night hurricane Iselle approached our coast and shed light onto many geothermal issues. For one the air monitors would not work when the power went down from the power plants un-planned shut down. For two, The inspection after led to the find of needing a new production well because the old one had been leaking an undisclosed amount of production steam into the ground. Most of the Ohia tree's in lower puna have now died or been infected with a rare fungi that's never been seen anywhere else in the world. This fungi outbreak happened to start near the power plant after the big push for increased steam production for more electricity. jmo Mold and fungi are different but they both like a conducive environment to grow or mutate. http://blackmold.awardspace.com/mold-causes.html with PGV's own propitiatory mix added to the increase of warm steam it could warrant discussion or study. jmo From my understanding, Mr Ha only opened the MMJ dispensary because some "folks" approached him about the idea. Mr Ha Also happened to be one of the lucky one's to get the golden permit ticket from our state. I think there was 8 in total and I don't think he found it in a Willie Wonka bar. Anyway If I had to draw a line to another dot it would be the TMT dot on the Mauna. Mr Ishibashi and Mr Ha have been a big part of this pro-TMT effort on the summit from the start of this issue. Wally worked on Mauna Kea supposedly to protect but rather than protect he may have moved or kicked over rocks with plenty of meaning for those he was to be protecting. My guess would be that Mr Ha's good friend Mr Ishibashi knows some facts about what happened here for instance. jmo http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2017/02/13/video-mauna-kea-pohaku-problems-haunt-tmt-petitioner/ because he held this position. http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2016/11/17/video-tmt-case-ishibashi-takes-witness-stand/ It seems to "me" that the state or BLNR-DLNR have folkes work for them and their better interests over the years. Meanwhile The rights of people who care seem to have been slighted, ignored, skipped and even taken away completely of late. Once something as big as a TMT project is allowed it usually continues to expand and like a resort or PGV plant stays for lifetimes. Because of this the TMT project should not be rushed or have raced time schedules. The land lease expires in 2033 in which Mauna Kea should be cleaned and the people should have the right to decide for the comming generations what would be "the PONO way". jmo RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - kalakoa - 02-14-2017 Geothermal power plant has been a nightmare for some since ... Mr Ha only opened the MMJ dispensary because some "folks" approached him ... What do either of these have to do with TMT? RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - PaulW - 02-14-2017 http://www.snopes.com/law-charges-protesters-with-terrorism/ Fake news ETA: I take that back, there are indeed people *proposing* that. (It'll never happen though) Thanks for the correction. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Richard Ha - 02-14-2017 PUEO will take the stand in the contested case hearing in favor of the TMT. I am a board member of PUEO. This is not about making money for the board members. It is about future generations. Why are we standing up? If not us, Who? If not now, When? If not here, Where? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xumRO3AIGoo. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - TomK - 02-14-2017 Thank you, Richard. It seems that some, whenever they hear your name mentioned, go off on a complete tangent which is very disappointing to see. I'm currently watching the cross-examination of Kimberly Pisciotta on Monday afternoon (13th Feb), which is quite fascinating (I was a work colleague of hers back in the late 90s until she left the JCMT). Thank you for the support of the observatories, and the future of children's education and careers in Hawaii. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - TomK - 02-14-2017 A little comic relief. Lost in the bathroom and in the last couple of seconds, one fed-up judge: http://naleo.tv/VOD/ February 13, 2017, Part 2. It's right at the end, about the 3:56:00 mark until the end a few minutes later, where you see a touch of frustration from Amano. |
