new code, No permit required - kimo wires - 06-25-2012 I just came across this ad in craigslist. Is this for real? http://honolulu.craigslist.org/big/mad/3075763104.html RE: new code, No permit required - lquade - 06-26-2012 the 120 sg foot has always been there but has to be less than 6 feet high. i did read in the tribune they were talking about an agi exemption if you were a "certified" farm on agi land. i think people are still debating this and i always say call your building inspector, he/she is the final say. oh, someone else told me if it is on a slab it has to be permited. that said, my inspector didnt say a word about either of my chicken houses but made me get a permit for a second water tank on agi land... RE: new code, No permit required - DanielP - 06-26-2012 My take; Better to ask forgiveness than permission. RE: new code, No permit required - Carey - 06-26-2012 Daniel, had to smile, that was Bohnetts' favorite quote about all that was done at Pu`u Waawaa Ranch! finaaly the state had it with him & no longer renewed his lease, but that was YEARS of 'asking forgiveness rather than permission' including the lake, houses, and the airport & runway! RE: new code, No permit required - ericlp - 06-26-2012 Don't ask... Don't Tell... ![]() RE: new code, No permit required - DTisme - 06-26-2012 Link no longer works. :-( RE: new code, No permit required - allensylves - 06-26-2012 Here is the new link - it is by Argus, if it also stops: http://honolulu.craigslist.org/big/mad/3102950568.html Allen Finally in HPP RE: new code, No permit required - Obie - 06-26-2012 Why don't you just call Argus ? We buy all of our lumber from him.You don't even have to drive to Hilo! 1ST quality lumber and delivery too !! The Best !! RE: new code, No permit required - Seeb - 06-26-2012 if people make a big deal of it DPW is probably going to try to eliminate the loophole, so if you build something document that it happened in this period of time. and have a copy of the section of code so off in the future when its changed you can prove it RE: new code, No permit required - Kapohocat - 06-26-2012 quote: We uaed to think that too but HPM's lumber and pricing has gotten a lot better. His service cant be beat though. |
