Septic Issues - Steam Thawing - LivintheDream - 12-27-2013 Anyone ever have to have their septic system steam thawed? Probably not there, but that's my reality here in Wasilla, AK today. I suppose there is a Puna equivalent. What problems to you all see? Can anything be done during the build to prevent these issues? Life Is Good RE: Septic Issues - Steam Thawing - Seeb - 12-27-2013 There - insulation, straw bales on top may be a temp fix for the season Here - more likely to steam out of the ground if you're in zone 1 RE: Septic Issues - Steam Thawing - LivintheDream - 12-28-2013 I think we're in zone 2 so hopefully no steam coming out of the ground. It seems our issue was human made, not from the cold as suspected. Life Is Good RE: Septic Issues - Steam Thawing - microage97 - 12-29-2013 No not really. Most of the septic systems are in the 1000' of the ocean. Otherwise cesspool....stuff goes in and if taken care of never a problem and never opened. |
