The Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks firefighter was working in an area on the east end of the Ferguson Fire with many dead trees and was struck by one of them, park officials said in a statement. I dropped a line to Tink this evening. I can tell you that the name of the unfortunate and heroic Hilo firefighter isn't Tink's, so am assuming Tink is safe. I'll pass on any news I get.
