A visit to the top of the world... - Devany - 11-29-2009 Thanks to Dr. Tom Kerr a group of us experienced an amazing evening on Mauna Kea... I will never forget the experience![] http://myhawaiianhome.blogspot.com/2009/11/evening-at-top-of-world.html Aloha au i Hawai`i, devany www.myhawaiianhome.blogspot.com www.eastbaypotters.blogspot.com RE: A visit to the top of the world... - Rob Tucker - 11-29-2009 Yep. It's a great trip. The Subaru Telescope offers free tours by reservation too. Very chilly up there. RE: A visit to the top of the world... - Devany - 11-29-2009 It was unbelievably cold up there!!! I had to wear gloves and it was difficult to operate the camera, but we had the observatory to warm up in. How lucky for you to get up there! RE: A visit to the top of the world... - Devany - 11-30-2009 Yea, after 15 years in Chicago you would think a little chilly weather would not bother me eh? My blood is thinning. It was 32 degrees and a wind chill factor bringing it close to zero. It was quite a trick to operate my camera with gloves on!
