Truck Parts Hawaii - mary - 05-15-2011 Has anyone dealt with this company, Truck Parts Hawaii in Kona? are they reputable? i need to order some parts and they want money upfront. Could someone please let me know what your experience has been? thanks a lot. mary RE: Truck Parts Hawaii - dlnragent - 05-16-2011 They also have a place in Hilo if that is more convenient. I have known the owner, Wayne Borden, and been dealing with them for 20+ years. Very nice guy. They are definitely a reputable company. It is not unusual for a parts business to ask for payment on special orders. RE: Truck Parts Hawaii - JerryCarr - 05-16-2011 I have encountered mechanics who expected a hefty deposit or pre-payment for truck parts and turned out to be trustworthy. One told me that he had experienced quite a few people who had him start on repairs requiring expensive parts and then couldn't pay, despite having been given the cost up front. So this is a fairly commom practice locally. Some places stop requiring this after a relationship is established over time, though. RE: Truck Parts Hawaii - dlnragent - 05-16-2011 Exactly right! RE: Truck Parts Hawaii - mary - 05-23-2011 thanks all! RE: Truck Parts Hawaii - Daniel - 05-24-2011 DMS On Railroad Sells Parts. Truck parts Gave Us The Wrong Part And Then Wouldn't Accept It Back Because We Didn't Have The Box. We Stopped Buying There. Daniel R Diamond |
