Has anyone dealt with this company, Truck Parts Hawaii in Kona? are they reputable? i need to order some parts and they want money upfront.
Could someone please let me know what your experience has been?

They also have a place in Hilo if that is more convenient. I have known the owner, Wayne Borden, and been dealing with them for 20+ years. Very nice guy. They are definitely a reputable company. It is not unusual for a parts business to ask for payment on special orders.

I have encountered mechanics who expected a hefty deposit or pre-payment for truck parts and turned out to be trustworthy. One told me that he had experienced quite a few people who had him start on repairs requiring expensive parts and then couldn't pay, despite having been given the cost up front. So this is a fairly commom practice locally. Some places stop requiring this after a relationship is established over time, though.

DMS On Railroad Sells Parts. Truck parts Gave Us The Wrong Part And Then Wouldn't Accept It Back Because We Didn't Have The Box. We Stopped Buying There.
