Pet meds? - Kelena - 12-12-2011 My female dalmatian has high blood pressure and takes a human medication called amlodipine. Without it, her kidneys start to fail. It was very expensive at the vet's but I was able to get it at Costco for about $7.35 per month. I am about to call my vet in California to call in a prescription for a refill to the Costco in Kailua-Kona, but started wondering if there might not be a better, closer solution. I appreciate your suggestions in advance. RE: Pet meds? - Frankie Stapleton - 12-12-2011 Try check Walmart's list of $4 prescriptions before calling your vet in CA. RE: Pet meds? - missydog1 - 12-12-2011 Also check Safeway's price. Walmart is cheapest, but sometimes Safeway will match, and it is an easier in and out. Considering the price of a tank of gas to Costco, it is worth paying a little more over here, unless you are longing to do a big shopping over there. "And I'm sure it wouldn't interest anybody, outside of a small circle of friends ~ Phil Ochs RE: Pet meds? - DTisme - 12-12-2011 Walgreen's here now, too, don't forget, and they can be pretty cheap on the Rxs. Worth a call. |
