My female dalmatian has high blood pressure and takes a human medication called amlodipine. Without it, her kidneys start to fail. It was very expensive at the vet's but I was able to get it at Costco for about $7.35 per month. I am about to call my vet in California to call in a prescription for a refill to the Costco in Kailua-Kona, but started wondering if there might not be a better, closer solution.
I appreciate your suggestions in advance.

Try check Walmart's list of $4 prescriptions before calling your vet in CA.
Also check Safeway's price. Walmart is cheapest, but sometimes Safeway will match, and it is an easier in and out.
Considering the price of a tank of gas to Costco, it is worth paying a little more over here, unless you are longing to do a big shopping over there.

Walgreen's here now, too, don't forget, and they can be pretty cheap on the Rxs. Worth a call.
