Petition signed. I met some of the people involved in this project a couple of years ago in Honolulu and learned about some of their work. It was inspirational and should not be stopped. How are we going to influence our children to aim for careers in science rather than banking or minimum-pay retail jobs if projects like this are stopped.

The same thing is happening to the observatories on Mauna Kea by the way. Don't be surprised to find some places closing in the near future because it doesn't suit short-term economics rather than long-term prosperity.

Thanks for your support for this worth while endeavor. I have friends who will really appreciate your time and support. I want to know more about all that is unique and under water in Hawaii on a selfish level!
