The surfers were riding high at Pohoiki today. Lots of "spectators" too, almost a festive atmosphere. One surfer caught this huge wave and everyone behind me erupted in cheers. Got lots of videos and cool pictures. Glad to see folks having fun. And really glad we dodged this bullet.

i bet it was festive down Pohoiki today, punafish. storm waves without the storm wind, yow. ah Pohoiki, a place forever close to the heart.
