Thanks anyway seekir. You might want to check out black friday sales for a small (say 1500VA size) UPS. I used one for my cable modem and wifi router at my on-grid house, and it kept the Internet working for hours when the grid was down. Of course that was somewhere the cable company had battery backups...

I was online yesterday and noticed no interruption of service. I am off-grid.

modem (router?) on my Hawaiian Telcom fiber broadband won't work without HELCO power
The ONT works fine with non-HELCO power.

Costco online has a special for a true-sine wave (PSW) UPS system. It's not in the Kona store (looked yesterday) but they do have a comparable $99 system MSW model in the store. The PSW online special is for $30 instant rebate, which mostly negates the $32 shipping to Hawaii:

They advertise a 3 year warranty that includes the batteries, but when that expires the 900 watt PSW inverter inside of it is worth more than the purchase price if one is clever on harvesting components.
ETA: Forgot to add the $30 instant rebate expires on 11/25/18.
