I just checked out hotpe's weather.gov link and am very interested to see how this plays out against my usual wunderground forecast, which has been way off in their rain forecasts the last few weeks. Thanks for posting! I love a good weather site.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Jeeze, some people here are on edge. This is what I wrote:

"No, it's not an "over hyped" forecast. Wind gusts at Mauna Kea's summit were over 160-mph earlier today. Temperatures are around 10 Fahrenheit with fog. I've watched various weather sensors fail in the last few hours because they are either iced up or have been destroyed.

Will someone please explain why this is such an out of order response? I've not insulted anyone and explained why the MK weather data were no longer reliable - the data Leilanidude referred to in his post.

So why are some people upset by that?
