black pepper vines with flowers but no peppercorns
#1
Anyone growing black pepper vines and actually getting some peppercorns? I have 2 vines growing and flowering for about 3 years or more. The plants look good but never any peppercorns. I am at about 350 feet in HPP.

What happens to the flowers? Do they just fall off?

@shave ice: most of the flower spikes are up overhead, so I never looked closely.
This reference discusses several reports on pollination: https://www.apiservices.biz/htm/pollinat...FCD8D.html
The gist seems to be that rain moves the pollen to other flowers on the same spike or plant, so it should not be a problem here.
Your article does not discuss pollination, so it does not seem to be a problem.
Thanks, Allen
