This post is yet another distillation of an earlier one about Puna Kai ( more specifically https://punaweb.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=21425&page=5&highlight=pahoa+vet )
We had our second experience with the new Pahoa Vet Clinic (PVC) and this one was just as positive as the first. After playing outside in our fenced yard, one of our dogs came back inside with a large nasty gash on her shoulder last night. No idea how it happened, but all the vet clinics were closed for the night. Being livestock owners we normally sew up animals ourselves but this one was deep and beyond our skill set so we did appropriate first aid and left a message at PVC last night, and they returned our call early this morning. Although the vet's schedule was full they said to bring her in at 0900 and they would fit her in somehow. Long story short, they patched her up really good and it came in under their $ estimate and they sent her home with appropriate antibiotics and pain medicine.
