Neil Young - Hawaii
#1
Former Big Island resident Neil Young has removed the paywall on his website until Christmas or the end of the year (I can't remember which) including all the songs from his newly released and sold out Anthology 2.

If you like Crazy Horse, and the album Zuma, here's a previously unreleased tune from that era:

Also, did you know Crosby Stills Nash & Young began recording their followup to Deja Vu in Hawaii, on Maui?  The planned album was titled Human Highway after a song by Neil.  Many of the tunes were later recorded on other projects, but the article lists the potential track list.  Would the album have been a laid back Hawaii style affair?  We can only imagine what might have been:

Apparently it was bought by George Zimmer, founder of Mens Wearhouse, for "only" $12.8M.

I guess Mr. Zimmer won’t need those suits any more!

Neil Young has a new album set for release in 2021 titled "Johnny's Island." Recorded entirely in Hawaii, and never before issued.  I'm a big fan, so can't wait.

“It was a tropical thing all about sailing, ancient civilizations, islands and water."
“‘Johnny’s Island’ a complete album now being prepared for release at NYA, includes a majority of unreleased tracks including ‘Big Pearl,’ ‘Island In The Sun,’ and ‘Love Hotel,’ plus others you may have heard before,” read a post on the Neil Young Archives website. “It’s a beautiful record coming to you soon.”
