Surprise result to search

While looking for a missing woman, our local police executed a search warrant at a home on 15th in HPP.  After knocking on the door, they heard a loud "pop" inside the home.  They then took measures to protect the neighbors before entering the house, where they found a dead guy and a gun.  The apparent suicide is being investigated, and the missing woman remains missing.

Of course the most important element in all this is what effect it will have on the impending real estate crash in HPP and how much the cookie cutter new homes in the area will have to be discounted to move them off the market,.

We really never delved into this at all.  I think we've become so desensitized lately to all of the deadly violence taking place that this horrible event slipped through the cracks. You pose an interesting question though.  How much does one murder-suicide affect the desirability of an area?  Are people less likely to buy a house on 15th due to this or 7th due to the attempted murder there recently?  How concerned would you be for your family's safety if you were shopping for a home in these areas?
