Hello Naomi,
I did a little looking around on the web and the only information that I could come up with so far is from the county and they state:
Efficiency dwelling unit is a unit containing only one (1) habitable room and complying to the following:

1. The unit shall have a living room of not less than 220 square feet of superficial floor area. An additional 100 square feet of superficial floor area shall be provided for each occupant of such unit in excess of two (2).
2. The unit shall be provided with a separate closet.
3. The unit shall be provided with a kitchen sink, cooking appliance, and refrigeration facilities, each having a clear working space of not less than 30" in front.
4. The unit shall be provided with a separate bathroom containing a water closet, lavatory, and bathtub or shower.

If I find anything else I'll put it up here. I am interested in these too, beacuse this is what we plan on doing.
Keith
