How to size a LP gas tank
#11
the gas company delivers.
the y have a 124 gallon tank that can sit next to your house but must be at least 5 feet from windows(or doors). there is a one time charge of $100, for an account deposit.
the tank delivery and set up charge for this size is $110.50, and then there is a $25 connection fee. then of course they fill it up, the last cost i was given was $3.04/gal. your $100 account deposit fee will be returned after one year. if you want it easy, this is the way to go. i can barely lift my 10 gallon tank, you must have to have a forklift for a 25 gallon, lol.

Now that's what I call informed information! Thanks for all of the good info Loffelkopffl.
I heard that there is also a monthly rental fee and was wondering if you might share that also. Right now lugging small propane bottles doesn't sound like THAT big of a deal but 20 years or so (God willing!) down the road that could become more than a little challenging. I'm a true believer of the K.I.S.S. philosophy; the simpler the better!! Mucho mahalo

Is the Gas Co. limited as to where they will deliver? Will they go out to Leilani Estates?

loffelkopffl, is there a monthly charge on the tank? If there is only .04 differents in the price then that would be better than fighting the 100lb tanks! As it is I've got the tank pad configured to be able to back the truck right up to them but still I'm not getting younger!

the last cost i had was $7/month for the service, if any of you are interested in this and wonder about service to your area, call gweyn eckart at the gas company @ 961-2772. the only concern was that their truck had enough space to turn around safely on your lot. aloha
