*FLASH FLOOD WATCH* Last night Hamakua Coast got some serious rainfall, so very saturated, drive safe if you going that way.
Possible snowfall on Big Island summits later today. Thunder and lightning forecasted for mauka/interior sections.
A flash flood watch is posted for the Big Island until 6 p.m. because of the threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms there.
"While the bulk of heavy rain is expected to fall over windward slopes, locally heavy showers and thunderstorms may also affect leeward and interior areas this afternoon," foresters said.
Flooding closed Highway 19 near Ookala for about 3 hours until about 3 a.m.
A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
