Two Chiropractors
#1
Hello,

Our health insurance plan covers two chiropractors within 25 miles of our home.

Roy J Lozano, DC in Pahoa

and

Stacey T Nagareda, DC in Hilo

Does anyone have any experience with either of these guys? I've never been to a chiropractor before.

Dayna, My wife went to Lozano in Pahoa for about 6 months after a car accident years back. She raves about how much he helped her. She was very skeptical about chiropractors and never would go to one until then. She highly recommends him to all her friends when they need a good adjustment.

Dayna, I have gone to chiropractors for over 39 yars and went to Dr. Lazano a few years back and found him useless for me so I went on a chiropractor search and was able to find Dr. Hilton in Hilo. Hope this helps for what it's worth.

I saw Lorenzo either 2 or 3 times about 1 1/2 yrs.ago. I had a back problem. He was very gentle at first, yes i also filled out the questionaire, and he recommended several visits. On either my second or third visit he felt my neck was out of line with the rest of my shakra to recieve the universal life force to promote healing, or something to that effect and could he adjust it, regretfully i consented. I had no neck problems before seeing him. I consented and now have a neck that cracks throughout the day and night whenever i move it since that last visit. So now besides a bad back i now have a f....ked up neck. I have since gone to Michael Ream and asked him to wrench my neck back the other way with the hope that my neck might be normal again, he gave me his adjustments and recracked my neck, it actually feels better and doesn't crack as bad as before.
I guess the moral of my story is be careful when someone messes with your shakra and universal life force. Hell i'll be happy when and if my neck is normal again, let alone my back.

Dayna, check with your health insurance plan to find out if they would cover a portion of the bill if you wanted to use a different chiropractor.

This was a while back, I maybe a little rusty on details. I twisted my back could barely walk. since Dr. Nagareda wins Best Of every year in the local paper, I decided to try him. He ran some kind of tests, talked about his mother which was the reason he became a chiropractor. He discussed changing eating habits, recommended taking certain pills that he sells. If you decide to go along with his method of healing your body, he encourages you to sign up for 6 month treatment plan.
He does not do adjustments, so as soon as I left his office I went to another chiropractor who was able to help.

Part of this review on yelp pretty much describes my visit.

There is also a link to 1 other review not currently recommended, if you click on that, the review is dated 7/3/13

I went to see Dr. Lozano eight months pregnant, because of sciatica pains..... He was super gentle, and he took my pain away.

My story is the same as hikatz. Back in 2010, I hurt my lower back and decided to try a chiropractor. Went to see Dr. Nagareda because of his winning Best chiro. of the yr. Received the same treatment as hikatz. Didn't go back after that first visit, although my insurance would cover in full for 20 treatments a year.

That's the only time I ever went to a chiropractor.
