prayer has been taken out of schools, which could be perceived as "disrespectful" to God.
I think that's called "separation of Church and State". Too bad it doesn't apply everywhere.

there's no discussion here of the merits of the stand the grads took for their concerns.
I wouldn't read too much into the opinion of an 18 year old. They're impulsive, passionate, and think they have all the answers. That's why we won't let them buy beer & cigarettes for another three years.
I had strong ideas about how the world should be at that age too. I'd be embarrassed to tell you about most of them now. Except, I still think the Beatles are (not were) the greatest band ever. Got that one right.
I agree with ophikao's comment about freedom of speech. The kids stayed in school for 12 years. They graduated. They've earned at minimum a diploma and an opinion. If they're intelligent kids, they'll be open to hearing more on the topic they're protesting when they get to college. Let's not close their minds before they get there by telling them what they can and cannot think.

Now that's trolling.
I'd say it's an accurate portrayal of the OP who is trolling and misinforming by omission. Others got suckered into it by not fact checking.
Good on dakine for doing his research and finding out there's more to it than was originally presented (or should we say misrepresented?)
