While Congress squabbles about whether you get a one time payment of either $600 or $2000, probably $600, as Deep Throat might suggest. "follow the money."  The people in Hawaii who receive the real money and benefits from COVID spending:

Hawaii heiress Abigail Kawananankoa with a net worth of $215 million received a $142,000 federal bailout loan to pay for her 9 household workers:

Waikoloa Village Golf Course in South Kohala and Makalei Golf Course in North Kona will both offer reduced rates for residents of Hawaii County for six months. Each was awarded a $125,000 contract to offer the rounds to provide West Hawaii residents.

One can only imagine the suffering the wealthy might endure without financial assistance to pay for servants or rounds of golf.  (Yes, you can argue it keeps domestic help and caddies and golf course workers employed, but do you really think heiresses and West side golfers* would do without even at their own expense?)

* Not all are millionaires, but most are probably better off than the average Puna resident

Poor Abigail, what will happen to her family fortune now that slavery is illegal? Maybe they can put something in the second CARES act to allow indentured servitude again, like it used to be under the kingdom.
