Gov. Ige allows counties to make own pandemic emergency rules

Now I get to complain to Mitch. Is this what this means? Or is he going to require some sort of minimum when he doesn't like how loose they may get?

Quote:According to the proclamation, there will be no changes to the state’s Safe Travels program, indoor mask mandate, vaccination or testing requirements for state and county employees along with vaccination or testing requirements for contractors and visitors to state facilities.

>> Starting Dec. 1, counties will no longer need to obtain approval of the governor or Hawaii Emergency Management Agency’s director prior to issuing county emergency orders, rules or proclamations. Meanwhile, HI-EMA will continue its various support functions and the state Department of Health will continue to issue public health guidance.

So which is it? We still going to mask until 2023? Hawaii Safe travels until someone takes it to federal court?

Can you wait for him to announce what he plans to do ?

It may not make any difference if he does open things up. Most of the places I go to can't get enough employees to open up 100%.

Seems like Ige already announced what he is going to do. I'm confused though what applies to the counties and what doesn't.

Sounds like he is keeping Safe Travels, indoor mask mandate etc... But just giving counties ability to loosen other restrictions as they please (or not).

He has announced that he will lift crowd restrictions at the state level. The big question, The BIG question is what our invisible mayor will do. Iʻm not real optimistic but Iʻd love to be wrong.
Certainty will be the death of us.
