I had a hitchhiker event a few years ago that has slowed me down picking people up. Picked up a couple younger boys and had them in the back of my van. They made an attempt to steal some stuff from the van... not successful and I dumped them along the road. Dummies.
I also have developed a strong aversion to "essential oils", which I consider a form of chemical warfare. One whiff of that stuff and the rider is back on the curb.
But a young mom with a baby crying on the side of the road will get me to stop for them.
