foot fungus

Does anyone have experience with or suggestions for what seems to be foot fungus acquired from possibly dirty socks or god knows where. It seems to have entered a cut under the foot and is under the hard part of the underfoot now. Its spreading up the legs and looks like poison ivy, reddish splotches going up from the ankles. Help.

Spreading up the leg from a cut on the foot isn't good! Get to a doctor, today.

Do not delay. Get to a doctor. Spreading infections are serious business.

Sounds just like the symptoms that accompanied a near fatal staph infection which started in a cracked callus on my husband's big toe. Go to a doctor before this turns into a multiple week hospital stay.

This sounds like blood poison. This happen to a friend of mine yrs ago. His started out by having a small thorn in his foot. Lucky, his aunt was a nurse, and took him to emergency room when she noticed the red mark traveling.

Markie had this and spent several days in the hospital. The antibiotics need to be administered via IV. Dr. Shapiro was the one to diagnose it.
