For those of you who haven't given up on public education this may be a place to contribute. My wife has just started as a board member here and asked me to post the following:
Pahoa Elementary School's Community Council invites all interested parents and community members to the first community meeting of the 2010-2011 school year on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010, from 5:00 - 6:30 PM in the Pahoa High School cafeteria. This is your opportunity to get involved. The School Community Council will be facilitating discussions regarding school improvement. Light refreshments will be served.
