Amazing New Artist Featured!

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to put this, but after some consideration...it fits. I have started a blog. It's a lot of fun and right now I am featuring different artists each couple of weeks (maybe each week in the future). It's fun to flex my writing muscles and a blast to bring attention to the wonderful things that artisans do.

This week I have featured an artisan from England. Her home overlooks the Irish Sea. Her name is Carol Maclaren and she's got a great eye for texture and color!

I have a couple of local people in mind for future blog features (Akoni????) and can't wait to show the world what we have here in our beautiful Hawaii. Please stop by and leave a comment on what you see...validation for an artisan is always a great reward!

Akoni Photography...our own Punaweb Forum Tony is my featured artist and I've included several photos of his work (including one with his son Jason) in the blog! Tony is alive and busier than ever on the Big Island with his projects, which include his photos, Bud the Puna Gnome and his cute family.

I know (and LOVE) Tony's work. He's got a lot of talent. How he and I can live on the same island, both have cameras and he can take pictures that make me gasp (and I can barely get a photo of a household pet that's in focus) amazes me. He's got some wild photography skills, that's for sure.

I met him in town last week and bought several of his cards, which are an amazing deal. My favorite right now has to be the frog on the lily pad...very cute.
