Bounce TV

Apparently you have to buy a new TV to get 4.3. Sad

Thanks for the response Terracore. I can stop fussing with it.

I can't check it as I'm not there right now, so I can't analyze it with my equipment, but there may be a couple of reasons why you're not getting Channel 4.3:

1. Channel 4 in Hilo uses RF Channel 13-- so try manually tuning to 13.3 (or try rescanning for RF Channel 13 only). It's confusing, as the real channel 13 uses RF channel 22.

2. Channel 4.3 could possibly be using Mpeg4 compression, which would make it not work on older (pre-2015 or so) TV's. Smart TV's can decode Mpeg4, older DTV's usually cannot. (The readout at rabbitears.info does not indicate Mpeg4, but it may not be field checked)

Yes, almost as if ATSC isn't really a standard, and people can just buy new TVs.
