General Westmoreland wanted nuclear weapons moved to Vietnam in 1968. President Johnson said no. Thankfully, cooler heads, and the Aloha Spirit prevailed on February 12, 1968, when the following message (in part) was sent from Admiral Sharp at CINCPAC Hawaii to Westmoreland et al, telling them, No Nukes:
“Discontinue all planning for Fracture Jaw,” he commanded in a Feb. 12, 1968, cable to General Westmoreland, with copies to the Joint Chiefs. “Debrief all personnel with access to this planning project that there can be no disclosure of the content of the plan or knowledge that such planning was either underway or suspended.”

Thank you for your response. I don't see how it's Hawaii related unless you meant to point out the poor quality of the Hawaii educational system. If so, that's another thread.

Nice to know that cinpac fleet admiral had enough cajones to tell Westmoreland to shove it. Probably the only reason we are alive today in regards to north korea is because putin probably told trump to put it back in his trousers when he was going after kim.
Trump doesnt even know where we are. So if we got nuked no biggy.
But we wont ever hear about that.
