I went to get a new 5 gallon water jug at walmart today because the cap cracked. Turns out they have jugs but someone stole all the caps off of jugs. And they are currently out of the caps. So basically the jugs are worthless without a cap. Anyone know where one can go to get 5 gallon water jug with cap in Hilo or maybe where you can buy just the caps?

There are two sizes. Not sure which you need:

You can use a piece of plastic wrap wound tightly around the opening in the jug till your lids come.

These caps and wraps are not eco-friendly, as coquis and slugs will not be able to get to the water!

I prefer the 3-gallon jugs. They are easier to lift or hold up to the spigot as they fill. Also they are stackable (empty). And you can use a full bottle to rest another bottle on as they fill at the spigots as they are the perfect height for that.
And they are made in the USA. They are square and stackable specifically so that they can be shipped with minimal packaging.
I had bought several at Walmart a few years ago and two of them had manufacturing flaws that made them leak (badly). I emailed the CEO of the company and he expressed genuine concern and included a pre-paid shipping label so that they could examine the defects and implement procedures to prevent it from happening again. They also sent me a case (more than I had returned) of replacements bottles as a customer service gesture. To date all the bottles are still in service and functioning as new.

I recycle 1 gallon juice bottles from the big box. Though haven't figured out how to stop the water machine in between fillings yet.
