Macys Men's Department

We heard that Macys will be closing their Men's Department and maybe all of Macys in the next 3 to 6 months .

In another lifetime we lived in a small town in Alaska. Our daughter had grown up there and didn't really know what existed past the end of the road. As she was approaching her teenage years, to introduce her to The Bigger Picture, we decided to take her to NYC and experience a big city. One of the places she wanted to go was Macy's. The big one in Manhattan that is like an entire city block.

It seemed to me like the worst possible part of a "vacation" ever, so I did some digging. The internet then wasn't as complete as it is now, but better than it was in the late 90's, and I found out there was a bar and grill in the basement.

So the wife and the daughter spent several hours at Macy's in NYC while I explored the drink and pub grub offerings at their dark underground bar and grill. It was mostly "gentlemen" like myself down there, and represents 99.999% of the time I have ever spent at Macy's.

I heard that bar closed. I don't know if it opened up under some other form, but I was glad it was there back then.

I used to do business with Macys and Bloomingdales. Typical NYC shyster operations. Very abusive to their suppliers and masters at taking over other companies.... they had a pile of NY money behind them. New York is kind of the pirate headquarters of North America. Somalia on the Hudson.

Hawaii is as far away from that as I could get.

Liberty House was bought out by Macys .Liberty House was a much better outlet . Macys is crap in comparison .
