#1
Come take a tour of an urban food forest in progress. Learn about the permaculture principles informing the design, see where we're at and what's next with this work-in-progress, and gain insights from the mistakes we've made along theway!

WHAT: Permaculture talk followed by a tour of Malama O Puna's Pahoa property

WHY: Learn about permaculture design, perennial polycultures, and how to easily grow both fresh produce & staple food with minimal input of labor & materials

DAY: Saturday, March 26
TIME: 1 PM: Permaculture talk. 2 PM: Guided tour. Attend either or both.

WHERE: 15-2881 Pahoa Village Rd, between the former Jeff Hunt Surfboards and the County Council building. Look for our green building, with a gravel parking lot bordered on three sides by garden beds.

PARK: next door in the County Council parking lot, or across the street next to NAPA Auto Parts.

BRING: Sun and/or rain protection as needed.

TAKE HOME: Information, inspiration, and keiki of useful perennial species to get started in your own yard!

Hope to see you!
