Oink, it did not make a lot of sense to me, until I saw a propane delivery truck going down the unpaved rough road area of Beach road with a delivery to a house that was off grid... then it made a lot of sense why there would be no savings.... the deliveries here can be a bit amazing!

Not sure the Gas Company does that good a job on delivery costs either. I have a neighbor with a large tank, but they never fill us both on same trip.
Yes, it does cost me $7.29/month on top of the cost of the gas. If I convince myself that making a 40 mile round trip to Hilo is free and my time has a zero value, then I'm in agreement with friends and neighbors that doing it myself is cheaper. Naaaaa, I'll pay the $7.29 and just not worry about it or strain my body.

Of all the propane delivery threads I searched, this seemed like the best one to revive/ask my question.
I'm looking to have my propane delivered. I'm tired of hauling/refilling the tanks.
Hawaii Gas said they won't do it due to the location of the tanks. Under my outside steps, even though this location passed county inspection.
So I guess I'm looking for a handyman type person who will come every 2 months or so and do it. As a matter of fact, I'm looking for a good handyman person as well...

Fill your tanks in place, or bring you full tanks to switch out with empty ones? Their capacity could also be of interest to a would be handyman.

Either. I just don't want to deal with them anymore. Whether they come and fill my tanks or switch my tanks for me, either would work.

I just had a VERY pleasant experience with Roland of Village Propane in Mt. View.
He delivered a full 100gal tank, placed it, and hooked it up for me. He moved and rearranged my other empty and full tanks so that I would be set for at least a couple of months.
Really great guy. If you need propane, give him a call. 808 640-6914

Thank you Chas. Referrals like that are what I was originally drawn to PW for. Thank you.
