Since Mella was kind enough to point this out in previous emails, i wanted to follow up to see how these ohana homes are progressing so we can check them out.....a friend mentioned that there are a few being built in HPP so i wanted to see if anyone has checked them out to see how good the quality is and if anyone has talked to any of the owners about how really easy the building process was....i'm assuming some if not most have also gone through the permitting process for some of these ohanas?

Hi Noel and Nancy,
This is all I could find as a reference. It does give an on island address where the business was going to be located. Good luck, and let us know what you find out! Aloha Mella L

Aloha…… We are located at 21 Kalanianeole st. We will be open very soon for business. These home kits are new to Hawaii. We have yet to build one here to see what changes may or may not be needed to pass code. I have sold several of them on order for people here that are putting them up un-permitted. They are doing a less expensive model. Attached is a list of all of our models. We are priced much less than multi facetted and bali homes.
Mahalo, Rob

Yup, this is the place I noticed the other day - they are on the way to the pier in Hilo - a little past Vernas on the left hand side as you are heading to the pier. I saw something about "package homes" or something on their building - so yes, they are here now - can't remember their name though.
