Could anyone tell me where the closest point by road to Puuoo's cinder cone? Someone said take N. Glenwood road to the end. Is that the closest point by road or is their a closer point?

Actualy, it's South Glenwood, which makes a little jog cvalled the "S" turn, then changes name to Captains Drive. Continue on past where the pavement ends all the way to Jungle King Rd. You will be able to continue down past Jungle King for a short distance, then you park and walk. It's a long hike, I believe about 4 miles. Take plenty of fluids. It is worth the trouble!

Cross Jungle King on the "path" that Captains becomes. You will be able to continue down past Jungle King for a short distance, then you park and walk. It's a long hike, I believe about 4 miles.
