At Da Kine PC we repair and service all makes and models of dektop and laptop personal computers. Part of our service is to provide warranty repair in-home for HP, Compaq, Acer, eMachines, Toshiba and Sony brands around the Big Island. We are in need of an experienced technician (A+ Certified is a PLUS but not required) to take care of our calls on the east side of the island. We prefer someone willing to cover the entire east side of the island. This is the perfect contract position for someone who works a full time or part time job and wants to work an extra hour or two in an evening or a day or two on the weekends. Or for someone who just wants to supplement their income. We cannot guarantee any quantity of work as we only receive our calls as they come in. Typically, you may only get a few calls every month or you may get them more often as our contract with a major retailer expands.
We pay as follows: Service call = $40.00 - $65.00 depending how far you have to drive. Most calls last approximately one hour, some calls last more some calls last less time. This is usually parts replacement only. We do not pay extra if the job goes over an hour. Some jobs may pay more depending on circumstances and drive time.
Payment is made by the 30th of the month following your completed appointments. For example if you complete any number of appointments in March 1-31, you will be paid for March appointments by April 30th.
We cannot guarantee a minimum number of service calls per day/week/month. Work comes sporadically and in bunches. However, a candidate that accepts all calls and does not turn down work will receive 100% of all calls on the east side. Also, a candidate must show they can be on time and complete service calls regularly and reliably. You must provide your own laptop, tools, transportation, cell phone and certain consumables such as thermal paste and tape. A list will be provided for you upon hiring or request. You must be able to pass a background check and you must sign a no-compete agreement stating you won't steal customers.
