Malama O Puna will once again be hosting candidate forums for Council District 5 and State House District 4 candidates. The Council candidates forum will be on Wed., 8/18, and State House forum on Tues., 8/24. Both forums will be held at the Pahoa community center starting at 5 pm. Because the forums run through the dinner hour, attendees are urged to brown bag or bring takeout so that they don't miss out on any information. MOP will provide coffee and bottled water.
The format of both forums will consist of two parts. MOP will begin by asking questions about current environmental issues. Then, after a short break, candidates will answer written questions from the floor. All candidates for these positions have been invited, but we still await the RSVPs from Fred Blas, Anthony Marzi and Solomon Singer.
For more info contact Rene at 965-2000 or malamaopuna@yahoo.com.
And please help us get the word out. Mahalo.
