Does anyone know if there are any seller's agents who are willing to be present to show the house to the buyers and their agents? I've been told that this is this not a common practice here, although according to family on the mainland it is common over on the east coast? We have some unique circumstances that will necessitate this. Thanks for any referrals.

All real estate agents should do this, and keep interviewing them until you find one, good one, who will! Make sure it is in the Listing Contract and do not let them to put a lock box on the door.

Hi Nalu,
It is not uncommon here for agents to include in the private agent-to-agent MLS remarks that the "Listor must be present for all showings." As John said, discussing that with the agent you are listing with up front is important, as is including it in the Listing Contract. It just requires a little more advance planning for showings. (Probably also helpful if you can find an agent who lives in your area. Several of our Clark Realty agents live in Puna -- if I can assist with a recommendation, please give me a call at 443-6564 or email me using the link below.)
With aloha,
