Hi all!
No big worries, but i need a good general practitioner in the Puna area. Everyone i know is either on a limited plan, doesn't have insurance or is new to the island. I just can't afford to hurt myself further or miss any work. Many thanks for your quick response.
Mahalo and thank-you all also for continuing to provide such a great forum.

Hi Hazen, Did you find a suitable Doctor, did anyone have any suggestions for you? Just hoping all is well and very curious that there were no responses to this post. Am hoping someone posted you privately. Aloha, Mella L
P.S. How's my spelling?!

No one has posted any suggestions unfortunately. Some people i have talked to in person have said they know of good doctors in Waimea and Kona, but none here in Hilo. Sad huh! I did end up going to a doctor here in Hilo. I sat in the exam room for about half an hour waiting. Listened to him go through about eight other patients in that time. Not very inspiring. I got a five minute exam and some antibiotics samples. I think i place more faith in my immune system.
Thanks for your concern.

Hi Hazen,
We moved over about a year ago and went to see Dr. Craig Kadooka. We only had our general checkup and have not had to go see him for any other reasons, but my boss goes to him and has been happy with him. He's in Hilo and his number is 935-6635.

Thanks Emily!
Weird ginormously swollen armpit (lymph node) seemed to have taken care of itself. Maybe that dose of antibiotics i bought in Tijuana did it or maybe not....
I have since had someone personally recommend a doctor, hopefully i'll never need his services.
Kinda scary it took so long for a response though.
Mahalo,
