sinking ground
#11
On my lot, I have the same thing, but I know it's not vegetation. There is a HUGE hole, on the adjoining lot, (not ripped)... And down from me, were I suspect and saw a small hole and wondered if the D9 was gonna go through it, but it didn't. Tho, where the hole is, it's eating up a lot of cinder. One good thing, my lot will never flood! It did flood, till the one year the water found a way to the hole and ever since then there is a puka about 6x6' wide and about 4' deep. I was always afraid to mow it as I thought maybe it would give way and I'd end up in a tube.

Would be cool to see how deep or big the tube is. I always thought it might be a good place to plant an ohia. Smile I suspect, if you filled it in with large gravel, then a screen mesh, cinder / dirt soil mix on top of that, it would fix the problem. But, that depends on how big the hole is. I figured would would have made an excellent cess pit. Tho, I'm on septic here.
