NOT attacking John here.....
I would not write off a resturant just because of one incident. If John saw the OWNERS doing it, that might be another thing, but for all we know, the person in question might have been fired that night for doing just that.
Also, don't kid yourselves that that very same practice is not going on in many other places you eat @ around town. You know ... greasy spoon ? Thats because the utensils just get wiped off with a rag and thrown back down on the table ... I have seen it first hand and that is what our immune systems are for. You might have a 'standard' you live by but know this .. there are just as many people who think YOU are a slob as there are people who you look down to.
Some cultures look upon 'wasteing' rice as a 'sin' of sorts ... its not just about money or convenience.
Putting rice back ... sounds like my kind of place !
