Hopefully Puna will be spared from the high winds, since we're not specifically mentioned in the high wind warning, if I’m reading the forecast correctly?  Hilo is included though.  We’re definitely getting high surf this morning.

They mention Volcano specifically, though not being a meteorologist I don't know what that means for lower Puna. If I click the "wind gust" button on Windy it shows the rest of the islands getting hit and the BI mostly spared, but either way my flashlights are ready per usual.

Thanks terracore,
For some reason I tend to forget Volcano is in Puna.  Maybe because it feels like a mini vacation whenever I go there?
My flashlights are good to go too, just in case.  Even if we don’t get the wind, winds in Hilo could down power lines and it’ll be lights out, like the mystery blackout the other night.

I didn't notice anything other than a couple of mild gusts, however they are repeating the wind advisor for today:

Today it's "unusually high tide flooding"

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
ISSUED: 9:22 AM NOV. 16, 2020 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
...NUISANCE COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE...

The combination of higher than predicted ocean water levels and
high astronomical tides will produce nuisance coastal flooding
during high tide times. Impacts may include the flooding of
beaches that are normally dry and some minor coastal erosion.
Tides running around a half a foot above normal will cause salt
water inundation of typically vulnerable low-lying roads, docks,
boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure. Early week high tides
will occur during the early morning hours.

Visit tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov for information about predicted
astronomical tides and observed water levels in your area.
