Aloha we need a dead Albizia top cut off and dropped.
only. We would cut and haul it away. It's over our catchment tank, and a branch already went through the cover and poked a whole in the liner. I HATE ALBIZIAS!

You may want to check your homeowners policy to see if they cover a damaged water catchment tank

Sounds like you need a crane more than a tree cutter.

We have the same problem except it's a trumpet tree and it hasn't broken off yet. The trunk is on neighbors property but the branches extend over to ours and over the catchment tank

I second the Treeworks guys. After Iselle they came and lifted my neighbor's Albezia off of my roof.
They did an amazing job and since I didn't need them to dispose of the wood, they gave me a nice discount.
I have also heard good things about the Backyard Monkey crew.
The best time to kill an Albezia is yesterday, the next best time is today.

Backyard Monkeys charged us $415 to cut down a 30' tall coconut palm that was close to the house, and cut another tree that had died. That one we wanted cut as close to the ground as possible. It was only sticking up about an inch when they were done.
We were really happy with them. They were nice, cleaned everything up and real easy to work with. Free estimate. Schedule was about 2 weeks out, but they called and came earlier than that. I think it's the luck of the draw if they have other work in the area.
I'd say give them a call and get an estimate. It's free.

It's always a good idea to ask if a tree service has workman's comp and liability insurance. It's dangerous work, and if an accident happens, you might find yourself in a lawsuit and/or homeowner's insurance claim nightmare.
