A newly discovered asteroid is likely to make a very close pass of Earth on Valentine's Day 2046 with the Big Island nearly in line within the center of the error cone. I've seen media sources go over the top with this one but I suggest making restaurant reservations early just in case. Right now it has a 1/650 chance of impacting Earth but the chances will go down in a few months, so now is the time to place a bet if it was legal here.
