From the US Mint website:

WASHINGTON – The United States Mint is pleased to announce the following 2023 honorees for the American Women Quarters™ Program:

Edith Kanakaʻole – indigenous Hawaiian composer, chanter, dancer, teacher, and entertainer. Her moʻolelo, or stories, served to rescue aspects of Hawaiian history, customs, and traditions that were disappearing due to the cultural bigotry of the time.

A little ironic given the current coin shortage.

Edith Kanakaʻole Quarters have been released, the US. Mint has rolls, proofs, and sets including the other four 2023 honorees in silver.  Quite an honor for Hilo and the Big Island:

The reverse (tails) features a depiction of Edith Kanakaʻole, with her hair and lei poʻo (head lei) morphing into the elements of a Hawaiian landscape, symbolizing Kanakaʻole's life’s work of preserving the natural land and traditional Hawaiian culture. The inscription "E hō mai ka ʻike" translates as “granting the wisdom,” and is a reference to the intertwined role hula and chants play in this preservation.

I'm a third of the way to the UK right now. I'll try and bring back a coin featuring King Charles III. Perhaps they'd like to meet?
