Steel Guitar Festival in Hilo this Saturday
#1
I posted this in the "Events" section, but just thought I'd post here as well.

Maybe some of you would like to get away from your keyboards for a couple of hours and go see some of the "God given talent" that some of these musicians possess. There shouldn't be any arguments and you won't be asked to prove anything or defend your position (other than maybe where you decide to sit)

And I'm not just making stuff up! You can check my source below. Big Grin

This is an awesome free event. First time in Hilo. It's great not having to drive all the way to the Kona side to see it.

They have lots of great players, and you can even get a free lesson!

Oh, btw, if you CAN'T pull yourself away from your keyboard, they stream it live:

Thanks for sharing this here Chas otherwise would not have known - was able to catch a chunk between running errands - very sophisticated & the talk of the town! :)

Chas, you are a steel guitar star for sharing this. It was such a gift.  Like Ironyak, I squeezed in a great performer between errands.

I envisioned it as being out in the parking lot, due to the crowd size that I assumed would attend, but it was so elegant there inside the mall.

The crowd was just right.  Everyone was smiling, and the performance I saw was stellar.

No one asked, but I think it's totally OK to post non-controversial events here, in Puna Talk, once in a while.  I do believe that events of a more controversial nature, belong in the events category.

In the interest of promoting greater harmony in The Punaweb community, a righteous and proper function of the moderators might be to ensure that provocative posts find their way to the proper category such as "politics" or "events" when the OPs disregard Rob's easy to understand guardrails. JMO.

Thanks again Chas.

See y'all Monday.  Aloha
