stone or concrete walls

Has anyone had a stone or concrete wall built recently? I am wondering how much to budget for a 6' wall. Any price per linear foot estimates out there?

I did have one built about a month ago - ran me about $3500 with materials and labor. Kene had to stack the rock though from one side in the pond as that part was repair. Maybe about 40-45 lf total of wall. And he gave me a deal! Some of the wall is only 2' high.

You might want to make that 5'11" instead of 6' so you won't need a permit.

John, if the wall is an internal (courtyard) wall that is not on the property line, are permits needed even for a >6' wall?

All walls are "internal" since if they weren't they would be encroahing to the neighboring property and you would need a rock wall agreement signed and recorded. You don't need a permit if the wall is less than 6' high.
