So if I understand the court documents correctly Bo Johnson was renting a room at the pahoa hostel and was seen there by the manager after the date of the murder and left a lot of personal items in the room but he has not been seen recently.

No, it was determined that the guy at the hostel was not Bo Johnson.

Thanks,I went back and saw that. Interesting that the hostel manager picked out the picture of Bo Johnson out of a line up of other photos incorrectly evidently.

To all: keep the talk going and keep your eyes open. It is the locals that can really make a difference in finding my daughters killer(s). The families are in constant contact with the local authorities and at least this family believes they are doing all they can. But forensics takes time and we have to be patient.

The process of investigating this case includes a number of things:
1st: and easiest...find Bo.
2cd: someone from the area hears something and reports it to the local authorities. This has already happened and leads are being pursued. This might take a long time and new leads are all being investigated.
3rd: Forensics are sent to various mainland locations depending on what needs to be done with the evidence sent. We are told this process can take months for results depending on what is needed. Phone records don't take long..a few weeks at most...I know as I was in the wireless phone biz for 35 years. This should have been done long ago now. So other information is needed to solve this case is my guess.
So in summary, unless we get a break in the first two scenarios we probably will be in a holding pattern for a while. So keep on the lookout for leads that can help our family. We can't tell you just how important it not only is to us, but I hope for all the local folks who care and have been so kind to us.

After the completion of additional follows-ups conducted in this investigation, Boaz David Johnson is now considered the suspect in the murder investigation, according to police. He may still be on the island.

The article makes no mention of any reason why Bo is THE suspect.
Was He seen recently?
What evidence did they find to point solely at him?
Vague
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.
