The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at UH-Hilo will conduct a class on Hydroponic Food Production to be held on Saturday, September 17 and 24th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and a class on Sustainable Agriculture in the Tropics to be held on Saturday, October 22 and 29 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All classes taught on campus in UCB 331. The cost is $95 for a single class or $175 if bundled. ETF* opportunity also available for individuals who qualify.
Both courses are being taught by Dr. Melanie Willich teaches agriculture, bioenergy, and horticulture courses at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
*Private and non-government employers/businesses may qualify for a 50% tuition waiver through the state’s Employment & Training Fund (ETF). For details, please visit
